Part 1
Upon taking this class, operators will have a better understanding of the assembly and testing
requirements to build fire hydrants and RW gate valves. Operators will also have a better understanding
of the history and evolution, proper installation and troubleshooting of fire hydrants
and RW gate valves.

Part 2
Upon taking this class, operators will have a high-level overview of drinking water systems which
includes the basics of hydraulics and pressure and an explanation of different technologies being
developed to benefit drinking water utilities.

-Reasons to Monitor Pressure
-Different Types of Pressure Monitoring Devices
-How to Fund These New Technology Devices
-Relevant Case Studies on Utilities Who Have Benefitted from Full-Time
