Effective Leak Detection depends on effective Pipe Location. It is difficult to find a leak sound if you
are not over the pipe. Class segment discusses, in depth, the basic functions of locators and how
they work. A discussion of common misuses of pipe locators and how they can confuse people who
do not use them every day. An in-depth discussion of how the locators came to be, why they were
needed and demonstrations of how to use them in the proper manner.

And you will learn the leak detection fundamentals and techniques from simple listening with the
newest digital acoustic devices to the use and proper application of computerized equipment, the
class will be instructed on all the methods that are available today to determine leak points on
pressurized water lines.
