Course Outline:

The first hour of this training session will consist of a presentation from Sherwin-Williams
covering Water and Wastewater Coating Systems. The second portion of this training will
consist of a three-hour session covering Asset Management and Asset Maintenance in Water
and Wastewater Systems. This will include:
1. Background and Introduction
2. EPA Asset Management
3. Pipeline Asset Management & Spray in Place Pipe Technology
4. Tank and Plant Asset Management and Maintenance
5. Importance of Inspections and Routine Maintenance
6. Asset Management in the distribution System: Active Mixers
7. Asset Management for AMI and Smart Metering Solutions

Instructor(s):
Kevin Martel is a water systems consultant with USG Water Solutions. He has been in the
coatings and asset management field for over 16 years and is a NACE certified inspector.
Kevin has spent most of his life here in Rhode Island and currently resides in Barrington with his
wife and two children.
