SUMMARY:Opening for the Season
DESCRIPTION:7:45AM-12:30PM \n95 Cripe Street (QDC’s Annex Building) \nNorth Kingstown RI\, 02852 \nThe information and instructional material that will be provided in this four-hour training course will assist the Owner/Operator for the public water system with the knowledge needed to comply with the Revised Total Coliform Rule (RTCR) and Groundwater Rule. Seasonal startup well and system disinfection will be included as part of the program. The instructional material and discussion will show the steps needed to be taken and completed before the system startup date. The idea of the course is to help with the start-up process at a seasonal public water system\, which is the opportune time for a thorough examination of the water system’s physical components.  If repairs are needed\, they can be accomplished prior to the start of the season without being an imposition on customers. Properly maintained systems are less likely to have water quality problems that can lead to unsatisfied customers as well as increased regulatory oversight. \nInstructor: Matt Young \nThis class has been approved by RI DOH for 4 TCHs (0.4 CEUs). \nThis class is being offered for FREE through the EPA Technical Assistance Program. Pre-Registration is required. \nPlease Contact Matt Young at myoung@asrwwa.org with any questions regarding this class.
