Today\, Ganem is Territory Manager responsible for that same area. Ganem hold bachelor’s degree in political science and public administration. He is an active member of the New England Water Works Association. Mike resides in Rhode Island. Mike has been actively teaching hydrant and valves courses for NEWWA\, PCWWA\, RIWWA\, CTRWWA\, Granite State Rural Water\, Maine Rural Water\, MWWA\, Rhode Island Rural Water\, and EJ Prescott Know How Seminars. \nGuy Canto has been a Romac Industries (waterworks) manufacturer’s rep for the past 22 years in New England and New York working at for the past 18 years and prior to that 4 years working for Hancor (HDPE drainage systems).

This training is planned for those who work in\nthe wastewater and/or water industry. It covers basic math skills and methods for solving math-\nrelated problems that are associated with the daily operation of these utility systems. This 4-\nhour class will also prepare those who are planning to take the exam with typical test problems\nand test taking tips. \nThe following math items will be covered:\n• Basic math fundamentals and functions such as units\, operations\, symbols\, exponents\,\nrounding\, averages\, and percentage\n• Area\, Volume\, Temperature\, Velocity\, Flow\, Detention Time\, Pressure\, and Horsepower\nconversions and calculations\n• The POUNDS FORMULA and all things associated with it – the Davidson Pie\, doses\,\nconcentrations\, F/M ratios and plant efficiencies. \nThroughout the training there will be MANY problems and instruction on how to approach\nproblems on the licensing exams. By the end of this class the participant will be proficient with\nthe Formula Sheet\, the Calculator\, the Davidson Pie\, the Arithmetic and Geometric Means\, and\nrecognize what 7.48\, 1440\, .433 and 8.34 are-among other facts. \nPlease bring a calculator to the training.
