SUMMARY:Emerging Data Technologies for Unaccounted for Water with Meters\, Leak Detection and GIS
DESCRIPTION:Time: 8:00am – 12:00am     Place: 253 Pascoag Main Street\, Pascoag\, RI     TCH(s): 4 (RI DOH) \nCost: FREE                        Instructor: Steve Horn \nCourse Outline: \nWith the need to minimize all water leaks and unaccounted for water\, we will show you how new\ntechnologies combined with standard practices allow water systems to reduce their\nunaccounted water. With data streaming from a variety of sources\, this allows communities to\nstrategically locate and fix their system in a seamless and data driven approach.\nThe presentation will show how water meters and data analytics can identify problem points in\nyour system. We will also demonstrate how coordinated leak detection efforts can capture data\npoints in your distribution network. Bringing all this data into a mapping system to help identify\nand perform efficient work from the office to the outside personnel. Please ask about hybrid\ntraining options. \nInstructor(s):\nSteve Horn is currently part of the Smart Utility Group of Everett J. Prescott. EJP began a new\ndivision in 2023 to focus on smart technologies in water\, sewer and stormwater. Steve covers\nRI\, CT\, and MA for EJP. Steve is on the Board of Directors for MWWA\, a member of RIWWA\,\nNEWEA\, NEWWA\, Plymouth County Water Works\, AWWA (American Water Works\nAssociation) and on the education committee of NEAPWA (New England Chapter of the\nAmerican Public Works Association) (New England Chapter of the American Public Works\nAssociation).\nSteve has 22 years of experience working for Neptune Technology Group for 16 years and\nSedaru Software for 3 years.
