SUMMARY:LCRI\, Your Unknowns and Electrical Resistance
DESCRIPTION:March 19 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm\nVenue: 253 Pascoag Main Street\, Pascoag\, RI \nTCH(s): 4 (RI DOH)\nCost: Free      \nInstructor: Mike App \nCourse Description: This training provides operators with practical\, field-tested methods for identifying unknown service line materials. The session begins with a classroom overview of electrical resistance\, tracer wire locating\, and other verification techniques used during LSL inventories. Participants will then transition to a live demonstration of the Swordfish locating system\, hosted onsite by Clear River Electric & Water. The hands-on component allows operators to see real-world applications\, ask questions\, and practice effective approaches to resolving unknowns. Please ask about hybrid training options.\nLearning Objectives\n– Understand the principles of electrical resistance and how it applies to service line identification\n– Review common tools and techniques for resolving LSL unknowns\n– Observe a live demonstration of the Swordfish locating system\n– Gain practical insight into field workflows and troubleshooting\n– Strengthen confidence in applying these methods during LCRI compliance activities \nInstructor(s):\nMike serves as Electro Scan’s Executive Vice President\, Global Operations. Mike started with Electro Scan in 2018. Mike also manages the Product Development for Electro Scan\, including the new pressurized tools DELTA\, TRIDENT\, and SWORDFISH.
